
Spanish for Construction
Lakeshore HBA, in partnership with the LAUP (Latin Americans United for Progress), is offering a new, annual course, which teaches construction Spanish through a customized curriculum- covering the most common words and phrases used on a residential construction jobsite. Communicating with a workforce that is ~31% Spanish speaking can be difficult and creates barriers in training, safety practices and advancement for these employees. Students will learn reading, writing, listening and speaking skills to communicate more effectively with team members in Spanish in areas of safety, work instruction, tools, and basic conversation.
This introductory-level course is intended for those who speak little to no Spanish and is open to anyone looking to engage more effectively with their Spanish speaking team members.
In this introductory course, graduates will be able to converse in a variety of construction applicable topics including:

Course Details
Dates: Every Tuesday and Thursday over the course of ten weeks.
