Mike Schaap's home-building career began in high school, working on a framing crew for a local builder. While attending college for ministry, he continued framing and started managing projects on his own. Over time, his clients' needs grew, leading him to undertake the entire home-building process.

Today, Mike Schaap Builders, Inc. is a top custom home builder with over three decades of experience and has won numerous prestigious awards.

What's a "YP"/young professional? Am I invited? Young professionals are anyone 45 and under, the "next generation" of the HBA, working in the industry- whether out on a job site to in the office. All "younger" employees of members companies are invited to attend YP events. Our YP event attendees have been loving connecting with peers- share these great events with your "young" employees to get them connected in the HBA.
