You’re invited to tour the Capitol with the HBAM Young Professionals Council.

The HBAM Young Professionals Committee is inviting all HBA members to its second annual Capitol Day on April 30th. This event is a practical way to better understand housing policy and build relationships with the lawmakers who shape them.

We've expanded last year's event to give attendees more time to interact with legislators. In addition to the legislative panel, Capitol tour and happy hour, we'll be holding regional advocacy booths so legislators can meet directly with their constituents, along with a Code, Legislative and Lobbying Update from Dawn Crandall.

Time: 9* AM- 4 PM

9:00-10:00 AM Capitol Tour

10:15 AM– 2:00 PM Core Legislative Program
2:00-4:00 PM Happy Hour (optional)

*Optional Capitol Tour begins at 9 a.m. in Heritage Hall. Participants who wish to join us after can meet in the Mackinac Room at 10:15 a.m.

What's a "YP"/young professional? Am I invited? Young professionals are anyone 45 and under, the "next generation" of the HBA, working in the industry- whether out on a job site to in the office. All "younger" employees of members companies are invited to attend YP events. Our YP event attendees have been loving connecting with peers- share these great events with your "young" employees to get them connected in the HBA.
