About Lakeshore HBA
The Lakeshore Home Builders Association (Lakeshore HBA), located in downtown Holland, represents professionals in the residential building industry from South Haven to Ludington. Through education, networking, advocacy, and signature events, Lakeshore HBA connects and supports the building industry across the Lakeshore.
Position Summary
Lakeshore HBA is seeking an organized professional to lead the planning and execution of member education, events, and programming. This individual will create valuable member experiences, cultivate partnerships and sponsorships, and help achieve participation and revenue goals. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys building relationships, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and creating engaging experiences that strengthen member engagement and support the Association's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute educational and advocacy programs, lunch and learns, and professional development courses.
- Plan and execute networking events and other member events.
- Identify member needs and develop relevant programming opportunities.
- Work with/lead committees to plan the annual member Golf Outing, Clay Shoot, and young professionals events
- Assist in planning and executing the Lakeshore Parade of Homes and Lakeshore Home Show.
- Maintain and grow sponsor relationships to secure sponsorship support for programs and events.
- Build relationships with presenters, vendors, industry leaders, and community organizations.
Budget & Operations
- Manage programs from concept through completion.
- Manage event budgets and work toward revenue and attendance goals.
- Develop strategies to increase member participation and engagement.
- Coordinate speakers, venues, vendors, registrations, communications, and event logistics.
- Track sponsorships, registrations, and event performance.
- Collaborate with staff on marketing, communications, and organizational initiatives.
- Provide support for team projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in event planning, program management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience building relationships with sponsors, members, and community partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Constant Contact, Canva, and membership and/or event planning databases is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and provide regular progress updates to staff/committee.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and member-service focused, with a positive and professional attitude.
- Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
- Willingness to attend occasional events outside of regular office hours
We're not necessarily looking for someone who has done this exact job before. We're looking for someone with a positive attitude and the drive, attention-to-detail, and self-starter skills to excel in it.
Schedule
Approximately 25-30 hours. Hours are flexible. Willing to negotiate number of hours (PT or FT) and schedule for the right candidate. Entry-mid level.To Apply
