Description

Lessons in Leadership 101

How do business owners retain talent and build better leaders?
By offering the right education and opportunities for professional development not only to their management teams but as a business owner, developing their own unique leadership style.

Strong leadership doesn’t always start in a classroom. In the construction industry, many business owners, project managers, superintendents, and site supervisors begin their careers in the field—gaining hands-on experience long before stepping into management roles. While that technical foundation is invaluable, the transition into leadership often comes without the structured training needed to lead people effectively.

Lessons in Leadership was created to bridge that gap.

This three-week course is designed for business owners and anyone currently in a management role—or preparing to step into one—including project managers, superintendents, and project leads. Each session focuses on practical, real-world leadership skills that directly impact jobsite performance and team success.

Participants will walk away with tools and strategies they can immediately apply, including:

  • Clear, intentional leadership practices that build trust and accountability
  • Stronger communication techniques to improve clarity, reduce errors, and align teams
  • Conflict management strategies that help resolve issues quickly and keep projects moving forward
  • Practical approaches to building stronger, more cohesive teams in fast-paced environments

Course Schedule:

  • September 16 – Intentional Leadership
  • September 23 – Communication Strategies
  • September 30 – Building Teams & Managing Conflict

Whether you're developing your own leadership skills or investing in your management team, this course is designed to strengthen the people who keep projects running every day. The goal is simple: better leaders build better jobsites, stronger teams, and more successful businesses.

Registration includes all three dates/modules and attendees MUST be able to participate in all three modules (dates below) in order to receive certification.
